Shane Miller and his assistant, Jodi Stumbo, teach Olympic-Style weightlifting to athletes of all ages through their expertly designed, individualized training programs. Most Miller Weightlifting athletes compete in the sport of weightlifting while many also use it as a cross training tool for other athletics, including soccer, rugby, track and field, cross country, basketball and football. Miller's coaching career has been decades in the making. He has trained one athlete to the Weightlifting Hall of Fame and two athletes to national records. His athletes have earned over 450 state and national records to date and range in age from 10 to 83 years young! Stumbo recently set a national record in weightlifting, has 5 national titles and has assisted Miller for 18 years as well as a National Referee.
Olympic-Style Weightlifting is a highly technical and established Olympic sport, proven to increase hip and leg power as well as speed, flexibility and coordination. Through this training, athletes develop the explosive strength crucial for high performance in all sports. Increasingly, Olympic–Style weightlifting is used as a cross training tool by professional sports teams as well as school and college age athletic programs.
